Facebook has recently rolled out a new feature for Pages looking to increase their follower count (aka “Page Likes”). In recent years, Facebook has slowly made it increasing difficult to grow a following on business pages due to algorithm changes and decreased visibility. So to actually have a Facebook feature that works in our favor is quite exciting!
And this feature is so easy to use. I’ve been implementing it for a couple weeks and my Page Likes count is growing like wildfire. I used to struggle to get one or two new Page Likes per week, and now I’m getting between 10-15 new Page Likes every week! It’s by far the easiest, most effective way to grow your following right now. I’m learning this method seems to be working best for pages that have between 1000 and 100,000 Page Likes already, but if you have less than 1000 don’t worry – this method will still be beneficial for you.
Increase Facebook Followers Using this Quick Method
Here’s how to do it:
When you’re at your desktop or laptop (this method doesn’t work on mobile, sorry), take a look at one of your posts. Click on the “like count” – that’s the part of the post that shows how many people have liked and reacted to your post.
Clicking on this will open a popup with a list of people who have liked your post. Next to their name will be a button. If the person has already liked your page, the button will be greyed out and will read “Liked.”
HOWEVER, if someone has liked your post and they have NOT already liked your page, you can invite them to like your page by clicking on the button next to their name that reads “Invite.” These people likely saw your post because a friend of theirs liked, commented, or shared your post. (Note – I have blurred out the names and profile pictures here.)
Once you click the “Invite” button, that person will get a notification inviting them to like your page. The invite will come from your personal profile, which is a bit weird. The person you’re inviting may not recognize your name or page name and decide to ignore your invite. But I’m finding that a large majority of the people I invite to like my page, actually end up liking it! I’ve also found the more recently the person liked my post, the more likely they are to accept the invite to follow my page.
Here’s what it will look like if an invite is pending:
Now I know what some of you may be thinking … you’re shaking your head at this method because perhaps you only get one or two “likes” per post, and those people already like your page. My advice to you is … post more! Every time you post good, relevant, informative content, that is a new chance to gain more Facebook Page Likes. I recommend posting on Facebook 5-10 times a day.
If you try this out on your own Facebook page, let me know your results! I’m curious to find out if other page owners are having the same success as I am, or perhaps even better!
