3 out of 4 content creators feel stressed out by their jobs.

It’s no secret that content creation can be stressful work, but when I first read this statistic reported by Zdnet, my jaw dropped. Out of 163 creators surveyed, 75% reported they experience stress or anxiety due to content creation.

Although I’m not sure why this statistic surprised me. Pretty much every content creator I know has expressed anxiety and frustration related to social media and the constant pressure to create, grow, and monetize.

Myself included.

When I realized how much content creation and social media was negatively affecting my mental health, I did what any good Type A, Enneagram 1, eldest daughter Virgo with ADHD would do … I researched how to fix it.

What followed was a long and continuing journey of psychological research, self compassion, and mindset work that led to me being a much happier content creator.

As a full-time blogger and content creator, I understand firsthand the impact that working with social media can have on your mental health.

Over the years, I have battled burnout, rejection, disappointment, and bullies. And since I’m already prone to anxiety and depression, my mental health would decline if my job became too overwhelming.

A few years ago, I set out to study why social media can have such a negative affect on our mood. I learned a lot of the frustration and sadness I was feeling was due to my own mindset!

I had been setting myself up for failure with unrealistic expectations and unhelpful habits.

Social Coaching – $450.00 – This four week coaching intensive will guide you through creating and implementing your social media marketing strategy, as well as discussing your mindset barriers. Perfect for the business owner who needs accountability and who learns by “doing.” Includes four 40 minute Zoom sessions over four weeks, plus priority access to me via email. Includes follow-up notes after each call and recordings of the sessions.
